Just posting a heads-up that new comic postings might be a little sporadic for the next month or so. My wife and I are expecting our first child in September and as if that wasn’t enough to think about, we just made an offer on a new house.

So I’m going to be pretty busy with the day job, plus baby stuff, plus getting in a new house and finding a way to pay for it all :)

Not sure I’ll be posting a new strip this week, but I already have the new logo sketched, and might Ustream its creation. Follow me on Twitter for any announcements to that effect.

Thanks!

AJ

This week’s strip will be a little late this week. Probably Monday evening. Sometimes sleep takes priority.

Ustream

Meantime, I just recorded my first Ustream sessions, which you can see here. There’s one with inking and one with coloring. Anyone offended by depictions of Jesus as a zombie…well, you should probably not click :)

I’ve been a lifelong fan of the work of Chuck Jones. If you don’t know the name, you’ve must assuredly seen his work. Chuck is the man behind cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd. He also directed the classic animated version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

Tonight at 8pm, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is running a half-hour documentary on Chuck Jones (only a half hour, TCM?). They’re also following it up with some great cartoons and shorts, including classics like “What’s Opera Doc” and “Duck Amuck”. They’re also showing some harder-to-find pieces like the Oscar-winning “The Dot and the Line”.

What's Opera Doc?

If you’re like me, and Saturday mornings in front of the Bugs Bunny Show are a cherished memory, you should check it out.
